A useful quotation makes it clear what is supplied, what is not supplied and who is responsible for each site task.
In short: check dimensions, temperature, panels, floor, door, refrigeration, accessories, delivery, installation, commissioning, warranty and exclusions.
What to check for
A sound cold-room offer is more than one price line. Confirm the quotation itemises the following:
- Full component specification — panel thickness and finish, door type, and the named refrigeration unit. Frostbox quotes the specific Daikin family — e.g. GS, SP-O, DB-O — rather than a generic "small/medium unit".
- Transparent pricing — equipment, delivery, and any installation broken out, with no hidden extras.
- Technical documentation — data sheets for the panels and refrigeration unit. Any certificate or datasheet not yet published is supplied on request.
- Warranty terms — coverage and conditions.
- Delivery and installation — timeline and the installation option you selected.
Why itemisation matters
When every quote breaks out the same line items, you can compare them on equal footing instead of guessing what a lump-sum figure includes. A named refrigeration unit, for instance, tells you the exact capacity and refrigerant you are buying — a generic "medium unit" does not. Likewise, separating delivery and installation from equipment cost reveals where a cheaper headline price has simply moved a charge elsewhere.
Note for non-buyers: even if you are scoping a project rather than purchasing, requesting a formal quote is the most reliable way to pin down real specifications and current lead times. The same itemised brief applies to any reputable supplier.
