Questions

Before you ask

How much does a florist cold room cost?

The smallest cold room costs from PLN 16,380 net with delivery (without floor; with floor PLN 18,200). With the cheapest matching unit: from PLN 24,350 net. A typical 6 m³ room (154 × 234 × 214 cm outside) costs PLN 25,840 net with delivery. We size the unit to the volume and to what you store; you can check the full price with the unit yourself in the 3D configurator, in 2 minutes.

What temperature do cut flowers need?

Most cut flowers are kept a few degrees above zero — within the range of a cold room with 80 mm panels (0/+8 °C). Warmth-loving species, such as orchids or anthuriums, need more; tell us what you keep and we will select the unit and settings.

Will the cold room dry the flowers out?

Humidity in the room depends mainly on the evaporator: one that is too small and too cold dries the air. That is why we ask what flowers you keep and how many — we size the unit for that, not only for the volume.

Can the cold room go without a floor?

Yes. A cold room with 80 mm panels can stand without a floor on a level, sealed floor — it is then 10% cheaper. On an uninsulated floor the version with an insulated floor is the better choice.

What is the lead time?

Normally 6–8 weeks. The rooms are built at the MTH factory in Italy; delivery anywhere in Poland is included in the price.

Can I assemble the room myself?

Yes. The panels join with cam-lock fasteners and need no specialist tools. A monoblock is charged at the factory, and a quick-connect split (2.5, 5 or 10 m) you connect yourself, with no F-gas certification. A certified installer is needed only for standard installations over 10 m. You can also have it assembled by our crew.
