This guide covers the complete form, from selecting the business type to printing the result.
In short: choose the venue type, describe the scale and working pattern, enter equipment that will remain in use, then sign in and run the calculation. Review the chilled/freezer split and every warning in the result.
Run a calculation
- Open the Frostbox calculator. You can complete the first stages without signing in.
- Select the business type. Choose the available category that best describes the site, such as a restaurant or hotel.
- Enter meals per day. Use a realistic value for a busy operating period, not an unusually quiet day.
- Rate menu complexity. Choose 1 for a simple menu through to 5 for a very broad offer.
- Select cuisine type if the field appears. It is optional and only shown for some businesses.
- Choose delivery frequency. Available answers include daily, twice weekly, weekly and every two weeks.
- Select kitchen traffic. Low means occasional access; high means intensive work and frequent door openings.
- Add existing equipment. Enter the combined capacity in litres of refrigerators, counters and freezers that will remain in use.
- Add site details if useful. Venue name, town, address, phone number and notes are optional.
- Sign in and run the room-size calculation. Sign-in is required to calculate and display the result.
- Read the complete result. Check total capacity, chilled/frozen split, existing-equipment deduction, panel option, U-value, warnings and recommended products.
- Print or save the result. Attach it to a quotation request or discuss it with the technical team.
How should you choose the answers?
- If demand is seasonal, use a realistic busy-season figure.
- Include only equipment that will continue operating after the new room is installed.
- Do not enter the capacity of refrigerators that will be removed.
- Use the notes field for seasonality, catering, large deliveries or multiple outlets.
After the calculation
The result estimates storage capacity but does not confirm dimensions or refrigeration duty. Also provide product temperature, a site plan, installation photos, floor information and power supply details. Review Reading the result critically before treating the recommendation as a specification.
