- Monoblock: refrigeration parts packaged in one fitted unit.
- Split: indoor evaporator and separate condensing unit.
- Condensing unit: compressor, condenser and controls serving an evaporator.
- MBP: medium-back-pressure duty, commonly positive-temperature work.
- LBP: low-back-pressure duty, commonly freezer work.
- Quick-connect: prepared connections; not automatic permission for unqualified installation.
In short: confirm the exact operating range.
Glossary
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Monoblock | A self-contained unit with compressor, condenser, and evaporator in one housing that mounts through the cold-room wall (or over the ceiling). Quick to install; ideal for small and medium rooms. |
| Split system | A system with the evaporator inside the room and the condensing unit sited separately, joined by refrigerant piping. Used where the condenser must be remote (noise, heat rejection, larger loads). |
| MBP / LBP | Medium / Low Back Pressure — the evaporating-pressure regime a compressor is built for. MBP suits positive (chiller) temperatures (roughly 0 °C to +8 °C); LBP suits freezer temperatures. They describe a duty class, not a specific product. |
Frostbox unit families: Frostbox supplies real Daikin refrigeration families — including GS and SP-O (quick-connect), and DB-O, RDV, SAR/SAS (standard) — selected by room temperature and volume. The MBP/LBP regime above maps onto these; see Refrigeration units for the actual catalogue.
