Service frequency follows the equipment manual, duty and refrigerant rules; it is not automatically once a year for every unit.
In short: a technician checks leakage, electrical connections, compressor, fans, controls, safety devices, defrost and drainage.
Regulation (EU) 2024/573 requires leak checks for certain equipment containing fluorinated greenhouse gases. Thresholds and frequency depend on refrigerant type, charge, CO₂ equivalent and equipment design. Natural-refrigerant equipment is outside F-gas leak-check rules but has its own safety needs.

F-gas note: Statutory leak checks and refrigerant record-keeping under Regulation (EU) 2024/573 are mandatory above defined charge thresholds and must be carried out by a certified technician. The frequency depends on the system's CO₂-equivalent charge — confirm your obligation with your service provider; it is independent of the routine schedule.
How the schedule maps to your refrigeration unit
Annual servicing depends on the condensing unit fitted. Frostbox cold rooms ship with Daikin units — for example the GS and SP-O quick-connect families on standard installations, and DB-O, SAR, or SAS condensing units on built-up systems. Have the model and serial number to hand when you book service, as compressor-test parameters, refrigerant type, and controller settings are unit-specific. The unit datasheet is available on request if you do not hold a copy.
