The panels keep heat out. The monobloc pumps it away. NOVA is MTH’s latest generation of wall-mounted monoblocs: one housing holds the compressor, condenser, evaporator, controller and defrost system. It mounts through the cold-room panel — no refrigerant piping, no separate condensing unit. Plug it in and it works. MTH builds the cold rooms and the refrigeration in the same factory, so NOVA fits ALGOR panels the way a piston fits a cylinder.
NOVA replaces the previous UMZ/UMT range — everything that was optional on UMZ is now standard:
Every NOVA runs on R290 (propane), GWP 3 — versus 1,000–4,000 for the synthetic refrigerants (R404A, R449A) the EU F-Gas Regulation is phasing down. Charge is below 150 g per circuit, under the threshold that would require extra safety measures in most jurisdictions.
NOVA mounts through the cold-room wall panel: evaporator inside, condenser outside, one rectangular cut. No brazing, no vacuum pump, no F-Gas certification — the unit arrives factory-charged and sealed. A through-wall kit (sold separately, matched to your panel thickness) seals the opening. Connect the power, set the temperature, done. The smallest NOVA (Size 1) fits panels as narrow as 400 mm.
