When wall space is glass, racking or workflow, the ceiling is where the refrigeration goes. LMCEY (Model C/E) recesses into the cold room ceiling: no wall penetration, no floor space lost, service access from below.
Like its wall-mounted sibling LMSEY, it is inverter-driven and dual-range: one unit covers −25…+10 °C, modulating capacity to the real load instead of cycling on and off.
Recessed ceiling design. The unit sits in the ceiling panel; air is distributed along the room axis. Walls stay free for shelving and doors.
Inverter compressor. Continuous capacity modulation — steadier temperature, lower noise, lower running costs than on/off equivalents.
Dual-range operation (−25…+10 °C). Chiller or freezer with the same hardware; air- (A) and water-cooled (W) condenser variants available.
Hot-gas defrost. Quick defrost cycles with minimal temperature swing.
R290 (propane) is a natural refrigerant with a Global Warming Potential of 3. The synthetic refrigerants still common in older cold room systems — R404A, R449A — sit between 1,000 and 4,000. The difference is not cosmetic: the EU F-Gas Regulation tightens quotas on high-GWP refrigerants year after year, making older systems progressively more expensive to service.
A unit running on R290 sidesteps that problem entirely. The refrigerant charge is small (below 150 g per circuit on this range), the circuit is hermetically sealed at the factory, and there is no F-Gas phase-down clock ticking over your investment.
LMCEY installs through the ceiling panel of the room. The water-cooled variants need only a water loop connection (16 mm) instead of outside air. Refrigerant circuit is factory sealed — no F-gas work on site.
