Cold room split system with quick couplings

A monobloc is the simplest cold room solution — but it puts the compressor noise and the condenser heat right at the room. A split system moves both away. The catch was always installation: brazing, vacuum, refrigerant charge, an F-gas engineer.

GS removes the catch. Condensing unit, evaporator and the connection lines come factory pre-charged with refrigerant and terminated with self-sealing quick couplings. You mount the two units, route the line set, tighten the couplings — and the circuit closes itself, tight and charged. No brazing. No vacuum pump. No F-gas certification.

What makes it work

Factory pre-charged circuit. Both units and the line set arrive sealed and charged. The self-sealing couplings open the circuit only when fully threaded together.

Three line set lengths. Each model ships with a 2.5 m (P1), 5 m (P2) or 10 m (P3) pre-charged line set — pick the variant matching the distance between evaporator and condensing unit. The line set code (2KTC…) is part of the product.

Quiet rooms. The compressor sits with the condensing unit — outside, on the roof or in a side room. Inside the cold room there is only the evaporator.

Electric defrost, electronic control. Automatic defrost cycles and a clear temperature controller.

Refrigerant: R-134a, factory sealed

This system runs on R-134a (GWP 1430), a proven refrigerant for commercial refrigeration with stable performance across the full operating envelope.

Both units and the connection lines are factory pre-charged and sealed: in normal installation the circuit is never opened, so no refrigerant handling and no F-gas certification are required on site.

Installation

Four steps: mount the evaporator inside, place the condensing unit outside (floor or roof), route the pre-charged line set, hand-tighten the quick couplings with two spanners and switch on. The maximum line length is 10 m — choose P1/P2/P3 accordingly. Custom pipe runs are not used on this system: the pre-charged set is the circuit.
